Six Grads from the Class of 75 went to Ja­maica and cel­e­brated their 40th school re­union. Teri Moul­ton, Dave Jor­gensen, Lori Be­garek (Nail) with hus­band Don, Melvin Nielsen ( Wendy), Jack Jo­hansen (Glenda), Wendy New­ton (Arm­strong) hus­band Doug. Ev­ery­one agreed that our fa­vorite ad­ven­ture was out into the crys­tal clear ocean scuba div­ing and snorke­l­ing amongst the co­ral, see­ing many brightly col­ored fish, starfish, sea urchins, stingrays and even an oc­to­pus. Other ac­tiv­i­ties some of us did were sail­ing, para­sail­ing, zip-lin­ing, river cruise, trip to Ap­ple­ton Rum Fac­tory, Mar­gar­i­taville, Ricks Cafe, cata­ma­ran cruise, shop­ping, beach party, and en­joy­ing the Ja­maican evening en­ter­tain­ment on stage. Weather was fan­tas­tic, food was awe­some, and drinks cold.

Con­do­lences go out to the fam­ily of Mary Kaiser on her pass­ing. A me­mo­rial will be held on Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 19 at the Hussar Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. to re­mem­ber Mary and cel­e­brate her life. Coffee and a lunch will fol­low at the Hussar Com­mu­nity Hall.

The Milo mens bon­spiel was held last week and con­grat­u­la­tions go out to the Barry Kaiser rink, (Ross Peake, Gerry Oster and Randy Kaiser) for win­ning 3rd in the “A” event. Also con­grats to the Dar­ren Firkus rink for win­ning 2nd in the “C” event. Dar­ren’s team had Tom Gor­don, Kyle Gor­don and Kyle Crump. Con­grats to you all.

Tick­ets for the March cash cal­en­der are still on sale at Richardon Pi­o­neer, Chi­nook Fi­nan­cial, Arm­strong Auto or any mem­ber of the Hall board. A draw will be made ev­ery day in March for cash.

Don’t for­get that ev­ery­one is wel­come to join in on the Alumni dance on Fe­bru­ary 20 at the hall.

If you are look­ing for some­thing fun to try come out and play Pick­le­ball on Thurs­day nights at 7:00 in the school gym. Women, men and kids are wel­come to come try it out!

The Hussar His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety is start­ing the next stage in get­ting our his­tory book ready to print. We are start­ing to edit sto­ries and get them saved un­der the right for­mat. This means that we are still ac­cept­ing sto­ries even a lit­tle af­ter our fi­nal due date. I know it seems like we may be say­ing this over and over again, but we want to make sure ev­ery­one gets their story in so we can make it up to date for ev­ery­one.
