Mother Nature surprised us again this week with that snow fall on Thursday night. Lots of moisture in that snow and rain beforehand which is good for the farm folks.
This past weekend Frank and June Trentham, former residents of Orkney, and now in the Lodge had a great party on Saturday with all their family with them to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. They wish to thank all the Orkney friends for the beautiful arrangement of flowers they received from the community. It was a larger number of folks at the party and I’m sure Frank and June could tell many stories about all of the family in their growing up years! What a great milestone.
Mike and Judy Borwick were away skiing at Kelowna recently and from all reports back, one foot of new powder snow is heaven to a skier. They had a good time and hoping for more ski trips before all the snow is gone.
Don’t forget the cards, games and visiting on Friday night at the centre and your snacks if you like to munch.
What are your plans for the extra day we get this month? Have fun!
That’s it for this week and perhaps there will be more news items for next week. I can hope.
