Delia got an­other huge dump of snow Thurs­day night, Mother Na­ture just re­mind­ing us that it’s still win­ter. Just when most of our snow was gone and we were think­ing Spring!

Seven mem­bers of the Drop In trav­elled to Craigmyle on Satur­day to en­joy the Valen­tine Tea. A rep­re­sen­ta­tive from Checkel Green­house at Cas­tor was there to give a pre­sen­ta­tion and she had a lot of good gar­den­ing in­for­ma­tion that we will want to re­mem­ber when it’s time to start plan­ning our gar­dens this Spring. Thank you Craigmyle for the treats, prizes, fel­low­ship and great hos­pi­tal­ity.

Pot Luck at the Drop In took place on Thurs­day with a good at­ten­dance of mem­bers and guests to en­joy the usu- al plen­ti­ful sup­ply of good­ies. Pot Luck at the Drop In Cen­tre takes place at twelve noon on the third Thurs­day of ev­ery month, ev­ery­one is wel­come to come en­joy lunch with us.

Note to drop In mem­bers – Thurs­day, March 3, is Clean Up day – Bring a bag lunch and stay to clean the hall af­ter cards.

The Crib Tour­na­ment at the Drop In will hap­pen Thurs­day night, Fe­bru­ary 25, at 7 p.m. Come to play Crib, Wizard, or any card game of your choice. It only costs a toonie, so come for cards, fun, prizes and snacks. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

Fe­bru­ary is al­most over, but ladies, re­mem­ber that Fe­bru­ary 29 is Sadie Hawkins Day! If you didn’t get your Valen- tine on the 14th, you still have an­other chance ! HaHa.

Re­mem­ber to take in the Game Day Car­ni­val at the Delia Arena on Satur­day, March 5, at 3 in the af­ter­noon, spon­sored by the Delia Skat­ing Club. There will be a sil­ver col­lec­tion.

Free­dom to Read week con­tin­ues at the Delia li­brary un­til Fe­bru­ary 27. Free­dom to Read Week is an an­nual event that en­cour­ages Cana- di­ans to think about and reaf­firm their com­mit­ment to in­tel­lec­tual free­dom, which is guar­an­teed un­der the Char­ter of Rights and Free­doms.

Tyler An­der­sen has a birth­day on the 5th of March, Rick Fair is a lit­tle older on March 6, and Pat Hoover will cel­e­brate her spe­cial day on the 7th of March.

There is no snooze but­ton on a cat that wants break­fast!
