Munson Mail

The Drumheller Mail - - REAL ESTATE -

Quite the dump of snow we received on Friday morning. I think it’s just a little reminder that it’s still winter and don’t be putting away your snow brush just yet.

Congratulations to Kim Sharpe, last Saturday’s lucky winner of the 300 Club Raffle draw which took place on February 20. Congratulations Kim and thanks for buying a ticket.

It’s definitely curling season with the Scotties Tournament of Hearts on TV and the High School Zones is in Drumheller this weekend. The girl’s Senior High team includes Katie Primrose, Amy Adams, Shelby Primrose and Kayla Adams. I’m seeing an Adams & Primrose trend here. The boy’s Senior High team consists of Brett Holowath, Jack Adams, Tony Huxley and Bryce Kopjar. Good luck to all of you and I know you will do us proud. Many of these same curlers took part in the Rumsey Mixed Doubles bonspiel which finished up on the weekend. Shelby Primrose and Justin Miller took 1st in 1st event; Katie Primrose and Dad, Tim took 2nd in 2nd event and Amy and Jack Adams won 1st in 3rd event. Good job. Sounds like a fun event.

The Munson and Area Community Association Annual General Meeting will take place on March 1 at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The next Morrin Parent Council meeting will take place at the Morrin School on March 8 at 7:00 pm.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Morrin Figure Skating Club Carnival on March 6 starting at 2:00. It’s a great afternoon to watch the skaters show off the talents they have acquired this past season.

Be careful on the ice and have a great week.
