This reminder: nominations close on Friday, March 18 for this year’s Celebration of Excellence. Then, on April 9, awards will be presented to our Citizen of the Year – Most Courteous Employee – male and female athletes of the year and the Town of Drumheller youth awards. Nominations forms are available online at the Rotary website, SJ Fashions and Centre Street Insurance. The Celebration of Excellence is presented by Canalta and Rotary
John Shannon becomes the new club president July 1. Wendy Benzon takes over as vice-president, Sylvia Adams becomes treasurer and Ian Cassels is President-elect, assuming the role of president in mid-2017.
Among the number of recent financial contributions in support of local projects, the club has directed funds to the Drumheller Music Festival Association and the upcoming provincial Bantam hockey competition.
Enquiries are coming in as many look forward to the White Elephant sale. May 6 and 7. Chair Graham Giffen would like all donors to hold onto the items until the week prior to the event. If you are unable to deliver these items to the Greentree Mall at that time, just give members a call for pick-up.
