Hello everyone and I hope you are enjoying the nice weather which is suppose to last this week too. I think spring might be here as the gopher who was in my yard last summer and lived under my deck it seems for the winter has appeared Sunday morning. Monday morning I also killed a fly on the kitchen window. Speaking of weather I was talking to Laurie in Lamont on Sunday night and they had rain earlier in the day and had 2” of snow with high winds and a mini blizzard as we talked. Crystal tells me they have lots of Canada geese on the dugouts and sloughs on their land. Since March came in like a lamb I wonder if there will be a lion going out.
I was surprised to read Sunday’s paper to learn that former premier Don Getty had passed away and his state funeral was last Saturday. I thought I was up on the goings on around the country but I certainly missed that. He died February 26 of heart failure.
Holly Borwick is back from Ecuador where she spent 3 months teaching English and brushing up on her Spanish. She is home for a short time to catch up on news and then will be going back to Rossland, BC where she works.
Have a good week.
