Morrin 4-H Multi-Club Report

Moving on to the months of February and March, the Morrin 4-H Multi-club continues with more exciting
On Wednesday, February 10, the Morrin 4-H public speaking night was held at the Morrin School. It was a blast, with all of the contestants doing very well with their speeches and presentations. Winners were: Junior Speeches1st Stefanie Nielsen, 2nd Ashley McNaughton, 3rd Khiara MacDougall; Intermediate Speeches- 1st Alia Nielsen, 2nd James Zuccatto, 3rd Sam Gridley; Senior Speeches- 1st Quinn Nelson, 2nd Mesha Olsen, 3rd Serena Michie; Junior Presentations- 1st Brittanna Michalevich, 2nd Haylee Sharpe, 3rd Alexa Michalevich; Intermediate Presentations- 1st Zayna Lynch; Senior Presentations- Kenton McNaughton.
10 of our members qualified to attend districts at the Carbon School on March 5. At the district competition 4 of our members placed and will be moving on to the regional competitions. Alia Nielsen was 1st for intermediate speeches. For senior speeches Quinn Nelson placed 1st and Mesha Olsen placed 2nd; and for intermediate presentations Zayna Lynch placed 2nd.
On Wednesday, February 17, the club went to the Canyon Ski Hill in Red Deer, and enjoyed an awesome day at the hill, which was sponsored by the club.
We had a couple members go to winter camp this year in Halkirk from February 19-21. They had fun rock climbing, hayrides, outdoor games and cooking as well as making bannock.
The Calgary Flames hosted a 4-H night on Friday, March 11.
Upcoming is the 3rd annual Morrin Multi 4-H Electronic, Battery and Bottle Drive where 4-H members will be collecting T.Vs, monitors, laptops and tablets, printers, scanners, computer towers, speakers, bottles and batteries.
If anyone has stuff to get rid of contact any Morrin Multi-club member. This will be wrapping up on April 16. Call Melanie Nelson at 403-772-0000 to arrange pick up.
Our club’s Achievement Night will be held at the Morrin Hall on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and see all the 4-H projects we have been working on. See you there!
