A year later, room transformation still pleases
More than a year later, Drumheller resident Shannon Dart still loves her Made in the Shade’s room transformation.
Made in the Shade held a contest in late 2014 for a room makeover and asked residents to nominate a deserving recipient to have their home get the Made in the Shade touch. Shannon Dart was the winner.
“I am eternally thankful for my friends who nominated me and to Heather (Colberg) and Kerri (Keufler) who selected me and transformed my living room and dining room into an oasis,” she said.
Dart was nominated by Kimberly Fishcer, Alison Afaganis, Deb Day and Sandra Nguy. In the nominating letter, they describe a dedicated mother who is fighting serous health issues head on. Through her battle she endured difficult treatments with a “bring it on attitude,” all the while work- Shannon Dart was the winner of the Made in the Shade Room transformation just over a year ago and says Made in the Shade’s touch has made her house a home.

“We could never fully know everything that this amazing person has been through and struggled with, but we do know her amazing courage and extraordinary strength,” states the nominating letter penned by her friends. “She is hard working, conscientious, dedicated, ambitious, giving, loving, smart and diligent.”
Dart says the makeover has made a difference in her life.
“Before the rooms were basic with a lack of colour and style. Now the rooms are inviting, cozy and stylish.”
