Sorry about no news last week, it seems that I forgot to hit the send button. So this will be a mix of last week’s and this week’s news.
Congratulations to the Morrin High School Girls Curling team who won the Gold at the Provincial Play-offs in Ponoka on the weekend. The team consisting of Katie Primrose, Amy Adams, Shelby Primrose and Kayla Adams and coach, Betty Primrose, were a force to be reckoned with. Great job, you have made your community very proud.
Congratulations to James Schow who was the winner of the 300 Club Raffle draw which took place on March 2. This past Saturday’s lucky winner was Lindsey Nemeth from Medicine Hat. Congratulations James and Lindsey, thanks for buying a ticket.
Now that curling and basketball have wrapped up it’s time to start thinking about baseball. Rumsey Minor baseball is trying to figure out their teams for this year and if you have children who would be interested please contact Sandy at 403-368-2172 by March 18. Their numbers were low last year so figuring out the teams in advance will give children an opportunity to join elsewhere if necessary.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Morrin Lions Easter Ham Bingo coming up at the Morrin Community Hall on Wednesday, March 23rd. Doors open at 6 p.m.
