With sadness, I announce the passing of my Dad, Pete Ediger on March 9 at the age of 88 years old. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Lord of All Lutheran Church in Strathmore.
The Rockyford Ladies Gala will be held on May 7. The theme for this year is Glitz and Glamour “Be the Star”. Tickets will be available on April 8.
Easter Sunday service at the United Church will take place on March 27 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
The next “Soup Day” at the Friendship Centre is on Wednesday, April 13 from noon to 1 p.m.

Rockyford Library Art Camp 2016, runs 10 to 3 daily, March 29 through April 1. Camp is open to participants between the ages of 6 and 18. Each participant will explore Self Expression through self-portraits, drawing, abstract painting, making wind chimes, t-shirts, land art and creating a group art piece. Vicki Myers is back again this year in what promises to be another great week. Please register early as space is limited.
Celebrate Easter with a classic Disney movie presented by Rockyford Library at the community centre on Saturday, March 26. It’s free! Doors open at 2:30, and the film starts at 3:00. Snacks and drinks available for purchase from the Community Centre Association.
Virtually journey underwater to meet microscopic aquatic monsters. Join Rockyford Library for this live video-conference on Tuesday, March 29, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Here Be Dragons! will visit the organisms that inhabit the aquatic environment of Southern Alberta and explore some of their amazing evolutionary adaptations.
Hope Bridges is coming to the Rockyford Library with a special program. Over a four-week period, “Drawing: A Study in Perspective” will guide adult participants through the steps to draw using perspective. Sessions are Thursdays (April 7 -- 28), 7 to 9 p.m. Register at (403) 9833640 for one or all four evenings.
It’s time to submit your creative work to the library for the Salute to Local Artists and Artisans. Your submission will be on display until Wednesday, March 16. Creative people of all ages are invited to participate. Due to limited space, please contribute a maximum of three items.
