Now that the Brier is over, I can get back to doing some useful things but, there were some great games and some not so great but in the end, it was great to see Koe and Co. bring the Brier back to Alberta. That could have been anyone’s game.

Last week I was in Strathmore and Calgary for a family visit and dinner which was very nice. This is Dick’s sister and brothers and spouses. We try to do this about once every few months so we can get caught up on what evryone is doing.

This past weekend Les and Kathy Bell had Brad and Gail Hvenegaard from Calgary visit them and it was a chance for Brad to see Donald’s work (re: airplanes) as he is very interested in flying.

Noticed over the weekend that ice on the river is starting to break up and move but it wasn’t the main break-up.

Get well wishes to Arthur Stanger who is in Calgary at his sister Ruth’s while he recovers from surgery. Hope you’re home soon Art.

Were you late for church on Sunday?? I expect some folks were as they forgot to change their clock. Does the time change bother you with regard to sleep? It apparently does for some folk but that is perhaps an excuse for some other reason.

The community extends sympathy to Harold and Jan King and family on the passing of Evelyn, his mother, on March 13. Her funeral service will be held this Friday, March 18 at Knox United Church, Drumheller at 2:00 p.m.

Easter is coming upon us very shortly so make sure you have all the goodies ready and try not to run over the Easter Bunny.

From “Golf Forever, Work Whenever”: Many a golfer prefers a golf cart to a caddy because it cannot, criticize or laugh.

That’s it for this week. Have a good one and enjoy the lovely weather.

Oops! After Monday’s blizzard I guessed wrong!
