The black dog is still wandering around Standard, injured and hungry. AARCS was out on Saturday to help assist in his capture. Elvis was a no show. He seems to do that when we have assistance. He came back, went in the cage finally, ate the dosed food and the freaking trap door didn’t close like it should have. He evaded stepping on the trigger plate in order to activate the trap. He then got spooked and took off running east out of town. He had a ton of sedatives in him but Vet and AARCS says after running, the adrenaline in his system likely made the sedatives non effective. However, if anyone sees this Black Rottweiler, Labrador cross that walks with a hop/limp please let Traci Rasmussen know. He is very afraid of people and will only run if approached even from a distance. Please don’t feed him as we want him to come back to the trap where we will continue to feed him and alter the trap so hopefully attempt #4 will work. We ask all residents in town and area to please be patient with him as we so desperately are trying to get him the help he needs and work to find a home suitable for him.
