Rumsey & District Register
I realized I have missed out in reporting the winners of the Mixed Bonspiel in Rumsey so here goes with my apologizes. The winners of the A event were the Cheryl Richen team, prize was donated from Hodge Brothers Trucking. Second in the A went to Claire Krywcun team; the third spot in the A event went to the Mike Steen team and fourth went to Curt McNaughton’s team. In the B event, Kent Holowath’s team was beat out by Al Hampton’s team to take first spot, their prizes were donated by Two Valley Angus. Brad Nelson’s team taking 3rd and Phil McBride’s team taking fourth. In the C event, Tim Primrose’s team won over Sherri Neilson’s team, big thanks to 3DPatch Works for their donation; Stan Martin took home 3rd in the C event and Shelby Primrose’s team took home 4th. In the fourth event, Brighten Watts team stole away first spot from Rod Nelson’s team, this events prize came from the Rumsey Ag Society; 3rd prize went to Travis Cawiezel’s team and fourth prize went to Justin Wolf’s team. That will wrap up the Curling season for Rumsey for another year and it was a good one.
Next on the Calendar for the Rumsey Ag Society is the Spring Fling on April 16. Mark your calendars for this is the date where you get a chance to purchase some really expensive desserts after a thrilling auction.
Keep in mind that there are several people in our community working towards building a Seniors independent long term care facility in Trochu. There are surveys available from Mel and Dariel McNaughton, Tammy and David Webster and I will have some at the library. These surveys will help in the development of the facility so that it meets the needs of the large surrounding areas of Trochu.
It’s a small news week. Have a great week.
