Mrs. Lau­retta Muriel Houghton (nee Lynch) passed away peace­fully at her home in Red Deer on Tues­day, March 22, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Lau­retta was born in Trochu, Al­berta on De­cem­ber 22, 1940 and was raised in the Trochu area. Lau­retta will live on in the mem­o­ries of her chil­dren Tammi (Dave) Palmer of Gull Lake, Phyl­lis (Les) Forsyth of Rocky Moun­tain House, Jerry (Lena) Houghton of Red Deer, spe­cial grand­daugh­ters Alice and Calina, grand­sons Dustin (Ni­cole) Adrian, Jesse Houghton and great-grand­chil­dren Aspen, Clara, Chance, Jax­son, Charley and Cooper, four sis­ters and three brothers, along with nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews and friends. Lau­retta was pre­de­ceased by her lov­ing hus­band Ed­ward (Jackie), her par­ents Jack and Jean, and brothers John and Bryan. A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at Rum­sey Com­mu­nity Hall, Rum­sey, Al­berta on Wed­nes­day, March 30th, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
