Body of woman last seen in Drumheller found in woods near St. Francis
The body of a missing 23-year-old woman who was last seen in Drumheller has been found in a densely wooded rural area southwest of Edmonton.
Kelsey Nicole Kramer’s body was discovered near the Genesee Natural Area, north of St. Francis. RCMP discovered Kramer’s vehicle, a green 2006 Ford Freestyle, at an undisclosed location near Breton. RCMP believe she was driving in Breton’s detachment area when she disappeared.
Kramer had been reported missing by her mother to the Drayton Valley RCMP on Tuesday, March 22. Investigation by police had determined that Kramer was last seen and heard from on the night of Saturday, March 19 near Drumheller and was believed to be heading back to Drayton Val- ley.
The RCMP Missing Persons Unit was engaged as well as the Major Crimes Unit from Edmonton. Participating in the search of various locations were the RCMP’s Special Tac- tical Operations troop, Police Dog Services, and RCMP Air Services.
An autopsy is scheduled for this week to determine the cause and manner of death.
