Spring greetings to one and all... hope you all had a blessed- glorious- chocolatey-Jesus-is-alive-Easter celebration! We took the motor home out for a road trip during the Easter break and spent some good family time travelling together, visiting relatives in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. We happened to be in Moose Jaw with cousins on Easter Sunday and went to the St. Aidan Anglican Church... wonderfully preserved, beautiful old downtown building. It was a truly meaningful service and several times during the morning we got the chance to “make a joyful noise” to the Lord with tambourines and whistles and clap and cheer... it was an uplifting, enthusiastic expression of love to Him! And the next day we continued on our journey and throughout the week we didn’t hit any snow... a good winter all across the prairies. We capped off our trip with a most exciting la- crosse game in Saskatoon where we watched the Saskatchewan Rush beat the Calgary Roughnecks 10-8 at the Sasktel Center. With 15,000 in attendance my husband Bob’s high school lacrosse team members from 1972 gathered and rented a box to watch the game. They were publicly honored by the RUSH organization on their 44th year reunion and the old guys renewed friendships and also received team jerseys with their name and number... it was fantastic! I have never watched lacrosse... pretty cool, pretty fast game and our daughter Charly who was cheering up a storm even got picked up on the JumboTron... so fun!
Anyway, back to work and school and everything in between. And I spoke with Kandice Grenville last night and she would like me to announce that anyone wanting to rent the Morrin Community Hall for an upcoming function should contact Howard Helton at 403-7723824.
And the 4H Multi-club season is on the home stretch. Club members will be out and about to pick up your recycling this week and next week... car/truck batteries, electronics, computers, printers, laptops, TV’s, plastic milk jugs and bottles will all be collected and sorted on April 16 at the Nelson farm. If you have any of the above listed items, you may contact Melanie at 403-772-0000 or myself (Darcy Graham) at 403-772-3747 and we will make arrangements to stop by. The club will also be hosting the annual Achievement Night Show on Wednesday April 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Morrin Community Hall.
So that is about all the news I have for you for today. Weather-wise, looks like we have a nice warm week in store... enjoy! Cheers!
