Con­grat­u­la­tions to the Rock­y­ford U19 Ringers and to the Open C Ringers on win­ning the 2016 Pro­vin­cial gold medals at their Provin­cials last week­end. The U19 team was up in Spruce Grove and the Open team hosted here in Rock­y­ford. Con­grat­u­la­tions to the Rock­y­ford Rush Open C team who earned the bronze medal. Way to go Rock­y­ford on such a great sea­son!

Wel­come home to the Stan­dard High School group who trav­elled to Greece for their Spring Break. Sounds like every­one had a very mem­o­rable trip. Spe­cial thanks to Kathy Ger­rit­sen for or­ga­niz­ing such an amaz­ing trip.

St. Rita’s Parish will be of­fer­ing First Com­mu­nion Classes to all el­i­gi­ble chil­dren, grades 1, 2 and 3 or any­one who has not al­ready re­ceived the sacra­ment. Please con­tact ei­ther Tracy Rehlau or Larry Kathol by Wed­nes­day, April 13 if you are in­ter­ested.

The Rose­bud Choir will host a fundrais­ing Con­cert in St. Rita’s Church on Sun­day, April 24, at 3:00 PM. This fundraiser Is for the sup­port of a Syr­ian Fam­ily liv­ing in Strath- more, they are be­ing spon­sored by the Hope Covenant Church. There will be a freewill of­fer­ing and tax re­ceipts will be made avail­able.

Bad­lands Search and Res­cue is reg­is­tered NFP work­ing un­der Search and Res­cue Al­berta pro­vid­ing SAR ca­pa­bil­i­ties through­out Wheat­land, Knee­hill, Star­land and other ar­eas as well. They have mem­bers in Three Hills, Hanna, Drumheller, Rock­y­ford and Strath­more. On Satur­day, April 23 they will be hold­ing a Re­cruit­ing Ses­sion at the Strath­more Town Fire­hall from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. They are look­ing for a wide range in vol­un­teers in­clud­ing those who are in­ter­ested in con­duct­ing search and res­cue oper­a­tions in ru­ral, ur­ban or wilder­ness set­tings as well as those who are in­ter­ested in Fundrais­ing, So­cial Me­dia, Re­cruit­ment, etc.

The Knights of Colum­bus “Las Ve­gas Night” will take place this Satur­day evening (April 9) start­ing at 8:30 p.m. at the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter.
