Congratulations to the Drumheller Rotary Club’s award winners at a dinner and Celebration of Excellence evening on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Presentations were made for Male and Female Athletes of the year, Most Courteous Employee, Leaders of Tomorrow, Badlands Scholarship Award for students and Citizen of the Year. The finalists for Citizen of the Year were JoAnn Cunningham and Lynn Hemming, both very deserving nominees. Once again we were honoured to have the Citizen of the Year Award come to our community. Congratulations to Lynn Hemming on being chosen for this honour. She joins an impressive list of citizens who have received this award since 1970 including Belinda Wilson in 2008 and Bev Wilson in 2011. Lynn and Clint’s daughters Ashley Green and Amanda Hemming and friend Brock from Edmonton were here for the celebration. The Rotary Club should be congratulated for sponsoring this and many other awards and trips that benefit our community and youth. Well done everyone.

Happy birthday this week to Tim Dekeyser on April 17.

Best wishes on your wedding anniversary to Gene and Nonnie Donais on April 14 and Carson and Susan Brown on April 15.
