The Rockyford Lions Club is once again giving a $1000. scholarship to a 2016 high school graduate that plans on a post secondary education. Please contact Randy Melcher for your application form. Deadline will be September 30, 2016. Graduates must live in Rockyford.
St. Rita’s Parish will be offering First Communion Classes to all eligible children, grades 1,2 and 3 or anyone who has not already received the sacrament. Please contact either Tracy Rehlau or Larry Kathol by April 13 if you are interested.
The Rosebud Choir will host a fundraising Concert in St. Rita’s Church on April 24, at 3:00 PM. This fundraiser Is for the support of a Syrian Family living in Strathmore, they are being sponsored by the Hope Covenant Church. There will be a freewill offering and tax receipts will be made available.
National Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 10 to 16. Rockyford Library salutes all of those people who enrich life in our community by volunteering. In particular, we thank our library board members for the time and effort they dedicate to making our library an active member of our community. We are grateful to those volunteers who attend the library weekly to assist in our operations: Joyce Gordon and Jocelyn Thompson. And we are appreciative of the time and effort donated by others, whose contributions allow us to be a place that offers more than just books.
Quickdraw Animation So- ciety returns to the Rockyford Library for Pixilation, a oneday stop-motion animation workshop for anyone between the ages of 8 and 18. The program runs on Saturday, April 30, between 10:00 and 4:30. Register now. It’s free!
Join us at the Rockyford Library for a free video-conference about Growing Food on Wednesday, May 4, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. This session is presented by four local Lethbridge groups that will share practices and tips for growing food in Southwest Alberta. Topics will include sustainability, affordability, small space gardens, and growing in alternate spaces like school classrooms.

Sessions at the Rockyford Library for Drawing: A Study in Perspective have begun. There are three sessions left that you can register for: April 14/21/28.
