I can never remember there being an April as warm as this. It’s nice to see families making use of the ball diamonds and parks.
Congratulations to Merv Smith of Drumheller, this week’s winners of the 300 Club Raffle draw which took place on April 16. It’s so much fun making that call to the winner on Saturday mornings after we have made the draw. Our prize is $100, I can’t imagine what it’s like to tell people they have won a much bigger prize. The next meeting for the Drumheller and District Rural Crime Watch Association is April 20 at Freson Brothers at 7:00 pm. They are looking for new members to help with coverage of the area. The Morrin School An- nual Alumni Volleyball tournament will take place April 30. If you are interested in putting in a team please contact Amy Adams at 403-436-0096 or Katie Primrose at 403-820-1652. You are required to have at least 3 people who are Morrin School alumni on the team and you have to have two girls on the court at all times. There will be a concession and a draw will be made up as soon as there are enough teams registered.
The Badlands Search and Rescue are having a recruiting session in Strathmore on April 23 from 1:00 – 5:00 at the Strathmore town fire hall. Everyone is welcome to attend as they are looking for volunteers to suit all positions not just field rescue. They need administrative and recruitment help as well.
