Last week got off to a good start when residents of Sunshine Lodge joined with the newly formed Drumheller Travel Club to travel to Wayne on the first outing of the year for the Trolley Bus. We were joined by a very special visitor, the giant Panda who lives at the library. Debbie, his companion, says he likes to get out and visit occasionally. Everyone enjoyed the ride on the bus plus the meal. Thank you to Karel, the driver, for the excellent information about not only the 11 bridges, but details about the area and the forgot- ten mines.
Bridge was played Thursday evening and winners were 1. Jennie DeMille & Don Robertson 4410 points, 2. Gordon Ector & Ken Olsen 4350. 3. Freda & Dan Hird 3790.
The Crib tournament was held on Saturday, winners will be published next week.
Over 30 people attended and enjoyed the cards and a very good lunch. Thank you to those who provided and prepared the food.
