Last week got off to a good start when res­i­dents of Sun­shine Lodge joined with the newly formed Drumheller Travel Club to travel to Wayne on the first out­ing of the year for the Trol­ley Bus. We were joined by a very spe­cial vis­i­tor, the gi­ant Panda who lives at the li­brary. Deb­bie, his com­pan­ion, says he likes to get out and visit oc­ca­sion­ally. Ev­ery­one en­joyed the ride on the bus plus the meal. Thank you to Karel, the driver, for the ex­cel­lent in­for­ma­tion about not only the 11 bridges, but de­tails about the area and the for­got- ten mines.

Bridge was played Thurs­day evening and win­ners were 1. Jen­nie DeMille & Don Robert­son 4410 points, 2. Gor­don Ec­tor & Ken Olsen 4350. 3. Freda & Dan Hird 3790.

The Crib tour­na­ment was held on Satur­day, win­ners will be pub­lished next week.

Over 30 peo­ple at­tended and en­joyed the cards and a very good lunch. Thank you to those who pro­vided and pre­pared the food.

On Fri­day, April 29 we will be hold­ing a Stew Sup­per at the cen­tre at 5:30 pm. We look for­ward to see­ing many of you there. Tues­day, May 3 is the May and June birth­day party start­ing at 2:00 pm. The birth­day peo­ple are Jim Clark, Sheila Rae, Daisy Smith, Bev Ver­rault, Lyn Spencer, Beryl Sig­fusson, He­len Ber­lando, Manley Thom­son, Linda Traquair, Bill David­son, Bev McArthur, Al Bre­mer, Earl Bryanston, Al Price, Jan Neil­son, Irene Samu, Anna Sharp, Rick Sharpe, Brian Glover, Bev Kiss, Mar­cel La­plante. We have been do­nated a large num­ber if CD’s, video’s etc., which are now for sale, call in and take a look at th­ese as well as other items we have for sale.

The Travel Club will be trav­el­ling to the re­hearsal of the Cal­gary Phil­har­monic Orches- tra on Fri­day, May 6, if any­one would like to go or if you have in­for­ma­tion or com­ments please email an­net­tem­green@
