Rain baby rain! Just a friendly reminder that Wheatland County, including the Village of Standard, is under a fire ban right now. Indoor fireplaces and gas barbecues are still fine.

Nazareth Lutheran Church invites you to its annual church picnic, Bike-a-thon and Geo-Cache on June 12 beginning with worship at 10:30. The kids from the Campership Program, as part of the program, are required to participate in the Bike-a-thon and raise pledges. Be on the lookout for a happy camper looking for your pledges! Help us send kids to camp! Last year we sent 25 deserving kids to camp, we hope for the same success this year, but we can’t do it without community support! If you know any child who wishes to attend either Camp Kuriakos or Wilderness Ranch as part of our Campership Program, please be in touch with Pastor Dyanna (email@example.com) before May 1.
The black dog saga continues! “Elvis” is still at large, still hurt, and still scared of people. There have been several cats sniffing around the humane trap, where Elvis’s medication (tranquilizer) is. Please make sure you are keeping your cats at home! If they get into this medication, the dosage could kill a cat! The latest cat has been a long haired black cat.
The Standard Municipal Library is hosting its second annual Golf Tournament in Bassano on July 15. For more information, contact Mark or Elizabeth at Gates Agencies, if you have a team you want to enter or are able to sponsor a hole!
Phil Faubion is again running the Restricted Firearms Safety Course. Please be in contact with him if you wish to take this course.
