Two community meetings are quickly coming up in Craigmyle, and all folk are invited to attend both of them.

Monday, May 16 is the evening of the Craigmyle Historic Society’s Annual General Meeting to be held in the church basement beginning at 7:00 pm. Business will center on addressing insurance issues; appointing of a director; plans for the 4-H concession on June 6; ideas for storage and display units for church items, historic information and artifacts. All are welcome to come out to this meeting.

The next night, Tuesday May 17, is the evening of a Craigmyle Civic Center meeting to be held at the Civic Center beginning at 7:30 pm. The bulk of the business will be a discussion of insurance options for the facility.

Sue and Debi from the Civic Center and Susan and Bev from the Historic Society recently attended a very informative session in Morrin regarding insurance options for community resources. As a result, both community facilities will be bringing this information forward to members.

On Sunday, May 15, you will have the opportunity to attend an event which will be much more fun and take much less thought than the “insurance” meetings. This is the day of our own Taylor Olmstead’s dance recital in Delia at 1:00 pm in the Delia Community Center. Taylor has been instructing dance in Delia this past year under the name of Dance Workz. Taylor and her avid dancing students invite all to come out to support their efforts.

I am saddened to report the sudden and unexpected death of Craigmyle’s Cathy
