Please come help the students of Rockyford School (Grades 1-6) celebrate fine arts with their Missoula Children’s Theatre supported performance of “Aladdin” on Friday, May 13. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the School’s gymnasium. Hope to see you there.

The Rockyford Volunteer Fire Fighter’s are holding their annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 28 at the community Center. They will be having a surf/turf supper, an auction and the “Dueling Piano’s” (from Aussie Rules) as the entertainment for the evening. Tickets are available at Rockyford Agencies or from any volunteer firefighter. Thank you for your continued support.

The Pixilation workshop with QuickDraw Animation Society from April 30 has been re-scheduled to Saturday, May 14. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 who is interested in participating in this day-long event is invited to register at the Rockyford Library. Pixilation is the art of creating a stop-motion animated film by taking still shots of people progressing through an action. For a famous example of this art form, check out National Film Board’s “Neighbours” on YouTube.
Strathmore Parent Link is bringing an opportunity for parents and their preschoolers to play and learn together. For six consecutive Tuesday mornings, beginning at 10:00 on May 17, they will be leading the regular Moms ‘N’ Tots group at the Rockyford Library. Anyone with a child up to the age of five is welcome to join us for what promises to be a fun hour and a half.
Stay tuned for dates about two upcoming jewellery-making sessions this spring with Elaina Geeraert. She will be returning to offer another viking knit session and instruction on how to craft your own tree of life.
