I am sure most of you are working hard in the yard and getting ready to start planting summer plants. Don’t forget the Pioneer Trail is still open from Monday until Saturday every week from 9:00 - 4:00. Activities still being held are Crib, Canasta, Euchre, Scrabble and of course Bingo. Days and times are posted on the board. Bridge winners were 1. Dan & Muriel McDermid 3900. 2. Mary & Bill Burke 3650. 3. Mike Dumont & Beryl Sigfusson 3470. There will no Bridge now until September 15.
Choir has now finished until September, and the Floor Shuffleboard has now closed. A new starting date will be announced later in the year.
Thank you to Boons Greenhouse for supplying the plants for the tables on Mother’s Day.
We have a very well stocked department of used clothes and household items and also recently received a large donation of books (including hard back) and jigsaw puzzles. We are always looking for people to help with the quilting team and people to join the hostess team if only for an afternoon a week. Please call in and see what they involve.
If you have further information or comments please email email@example.com The Drumheller and District Humane Society has partnered with a L.A. Area non-profit called Hollywood Huskies in order to transfer Siberian huskies and husky-mixes on death row to Alberta for adoption. Gwenn, right, will be arriving soon and is looking for a home here, while Karma, who was found on the street, likely abandoned after being used as a breeding dog, has already found a family in Drumheller. The arriving dogs are also already vetted and microchipped, so the humane society and rescuing families do not incur the cost of medical bills.
“Wherever we’ll try and they’re from help. I’m not concerned with where they’re coming from.”
The humane society currently has one Hollywood husky, Gwen, a German Shepherd/Husky mix, who is available for adoption.
