Edith passed away Satur­day May 14, 2016 in Hanna at the age of 96. She is sur­vived by her daugh­ters Donna (Mike Price) and Nita Louden, 4 sis­ters Kay Robert­son, Lor­raine Cooney, Josie Ro­line and Elsie Lim­pert as well as nu­mer­ous cousins, nieces and neph­ews. She is pre­de­ceased by her Hus­band Stan (1991) and Sis­ter in law Stella Diegel (1998), Brothers: Mike (Maude), Carl (Florence), Art (Mary Ruth) Sis­ters: Anne ( Tom), Mary (Ivan), Irene (Ge­orge), Vi­o­let and Jean, Brothers in Law: Mel Robert­son, Ron Ro­line, Ken Cooney and Duane Lim­pert. Edith was born Fe­bru­ary 19, 1920 on the Hand­hills farm, she at­tended Ge­orgestown School, trav­el­ling by horse, Delia School and St. Mary's, Cal­gary. Edith spent the bet­ter part of 94 years in Delia, liv­ing in her home for over 50 years tend­ing her gar­den and rose bushes be­fore she moved into the Hanna Long Term Care sup­port­ive liv­ing in Au­gust 2014. Mom was a mem­ber of the CWL, Ladies Aux­il­iary and Delia Se­nior Cen­tre, she babysat many of her nieces and neph­ews, sold Avon, drove school bus and be­came a Movie Star in 2001, she loved to have cof­fee and poached eggs and ba­con at Luke's. At Delia's 100 Birth­day Pa­rade she rode on the Se­nior's Train and later that morn­ing rode Ron's new 3 wheel mo­tor­cy­cle all at the ripe age of 94. We are go­ing to miss you Mom. Prayer Ser­vice will be held Wed­nes­day, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ge­orges Catholic Church, Hanna, Al­berta. Fu­neral Mass Thurs­day, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. St. Ge­orge's Catholic Church with in­ter­ment to fol­low in the Delia Ceme­tery. Lun­cheon in the Delia Com­mu­nity Hall fol­low­ing the in­ter­ment In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions can be made to the Delia Se­nior's Cen­tre or Hanna Long Term Care Re­cre­ation Dept. Court­neyWin­ter's Fu­neral Homes are in care of the ar­range­ments. 20c
