Delia Senior News
And the rains came.......... just when they were really needed! I don’t think even the campers minded being rained out on the long weekend-everyone is so thankful for the badly needed moisture. I hope some of this rain/snow is falling in the Fort McMurray area. Think we needed the Victoria Day long weekend to end the drought – that weekend is known to bring rain or snow.
The Delia Library is holding their annual garage sale on Saturday, May 28. Donations for the sale may be dropped off now. The sale goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the acreage just north of town on the east side of the road. Call Judy at 403 364 2802 if you need more formation or directions.
On your way to the garage sale, or on your way home from the sale, give yourself a treat. Stop at the Delia Drop In Centre where they will be serving Red Rhubarb pie and coffee! There will be other kinds of pie, as well, just in case you don’t care for rhubarb. Pie and coffee served starting at 9 a.m. until it’s all gone! This is one day only – Saturday – May 28- don’t miss your chance be sure to stop!
Really nice to see some former Deliaites back in town on Thursday to attend the funeral for Edith Larson, among them were Elsie and George Humphrey, Bessie Smith and Mary Pearson. Just like old times again.
