Two Drumheller Titans will be representing Zone 2 at the Alberta Summer games. Marshall Johnston, 15, and Raiden Kipling, 15, made the Alberta Summer Games squad. They attended tryouts in Airdrie and Okotoks.

Marshall is in his third year playing for the Titans. He is playing linebacker at the games. He is looking forward to the experience.

“We are playing people in our own age group, it seems a little more fair,” Marshall tells The Mail. “They say it is the best of the best so it will be challenging.”

Raiden plays cornerback for the Titans but will be playing Linebacker at the games.

“I like the fact you get to meet new kids and the intensity level is very high,” he said. The two will have some familiar faces on the bench as they play. Drumheller Senior Titans head coach Ken Fourier will be the defensive coach, and second year Titans coach Dale Johnston will be looking after the linebackers.

Dale is looking forward to the opportunity.

“It is a great chance to learn, I am still really new to this, and I get to work with the best of the best at this age group,” said Dale.

The Alberta Summer Games are July 8- 11 in Leduc.
