Amanda Hemming is finished her second year of Medicine at the University of Alberta. This will be an amazing experience and learning opportunity. She is then going to spend two weeks holidaying in Vietnam. Go safely Amanda.

Congratulations to you both and we will hear more about your future plans soon. Hope you had a great grad. Congratulations to all the grads and best wishes.

On the weekend of May 27 to 29, nineteen members of our family gathered at the Silver Creek Lodge in Canmore to celebrate my special birthday. We had a wonderful weekend of fun, food and family visiting and celebrating. Sunday morning we conclud- ed with brunch at the Banff Springs Hotel. Our grandson Curtis also celebrated his 31st birthday on Friday and his son (our great grandson) Parker was there for the weekend. I am all celebrated out.

I have received some announcements to pass along. Starland County road crews are doing road widening and refurbishing on Range Road 18-2 and ask local residents to use a different road if possible to avoid delays and travel problems. This road work will be going on for the next 6 months.

Everyone is all geared up for the 100th annual Hand Hills Stampede this weekend – June 3 – 5. See you there! Then on Monday, June 6, the Drumheller District 4H Beef Show and Sale takes place in the Delia Arena. This involves three clubs – Delia, Hesketh - Orkney and Rumsey - Rowley. So it is a busy weekend for the members, parents and leaders. Good luck everyone!
