Time seems to fly by and here I am on a lovely Sunday afternoon writing my column for the Pioneer Trail. Last Tuesday was the general meeting when members were told what is being planned for the future and the treasurer gave a report on the finances. What a shame there was such a poor attendance.
Thursday, some members travelled to Dalum for the Spring Tea, and reported back that it was as good as usual. Thursday evening at the High School and Friday afternoon at Sunshine Lodge we had the opportunity to see the Danish Gymnasts aged between 57 & 80 demon- strate their exercise program. It was an excellent show.
On Saturday the Pioneer Trail hosted the playoff round of Snooker for the Alberta 55 Summer Games. There were 15 players and winners were for the 55 plus group Bronze winner was Mario Watercheif, Silver was Cal Werner, and the gold winner was Marcel LaPlante. In the 70+ group Bronze winner was Henry Veldhouse, Silver was Lee Smith, Gold winner was Al Bremner. Both of the winners of the Gold Medal were representing the Pioneer Trail.
