The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS - Emily Hollingshead

I mentioned last week that a sneak peek at our summer children’s programming was coming. By now, many of the children in Drumheller have gotten their own peek at school (if they haven’t yet, they will soon!), but for the adults in town, here’s what we’ll be up to this summer.

Our theme this year is Your Fairy Tale Adventure. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, children aged 4 – 11 will have the opportunity to explore a fairy tale kingdom as they read stories, make crafts, play games, and do experiments with our staff. Along the way they’ll learn about traditional (and notso-traditional) fairy tales, mythical creatures, journeys and castles, Medieval tournaments, and so much more!

Our daytime programs are only part of the story, though. We’ll also have puppets and puzzles, and new maker kits for children and families to use anytime we’re open, plus plenty of fairy tale books for all ages! There’s more, too. Stay tuned!

For more information on programs, events and services at the library, visit our website at www.drumhellerli, or call us at 403-823-1371. We’re also on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!
