Po­lice in­ves­ti­gat­ing double car hit and run on Satur­day night.

An ap­par­ent hit and run oc­curred early Satur­day morn­ing on 9th Street East in Riverview.

A driver lost con­trol of their ve­hi­cle and hit two parked cars in the early morn­ing hours of Satur­day, June 4, at ap­prox­i­mately 2:00 am.

Dave Zora, lo­cal taxi owner/ op­er­a­tor of Clas­sic Cabz, had one of his ve­hi­cles, a 2014 Grand Car­a­van, hit in the ac­ci­dent.

When Dave heard the ve­hi­cle hit his van, he went out­side to in­ves­ti­gate.

The driver got back in his ve­hi­cle and was try­ing to get away. The driver put the ve­hi­cle in re­verse and backed up, hit­ting a truck across the street.

“We are just glad he didn’t carry on into the house,” said Zora.

Dave said Drumheller RCMP were no­ti­fied and the in­ci­dent is cur­rently un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
