Our community is grieving the loss of a dear friend and former resident of our district in the sudden passing of Janice Altin recently. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Melissa, Palmer and Dustin and their families in the loss of their precious mother. Our prayers are with you at this very sad time.
Everyone is invited to come and join the DCF Church in welcoming our new Pastoral couple, Noel and Melanie Dwarika, to our church and community on Sunday, June 26, at noon for a BBQ/potluck at the Delia Christian Fellowship Church. Burgers and hot dogs will be provided, bring a salad or dessert if you wish. Come for the Church Service at 10:30, followed by the BBQ/ potluck, Everyone welcome.
Delia Christian Fellowship Church is pleased to welcome Noel and Melanie Dwarika to the congregation and the community. Noel has his Masters of Theological Studies from Taylor Seminary in Edmonton. He has been serving in ministry for 16 years, spending 14 of those years as a pastor in different congregations throughout Canada. Noel has a passion for helping people reach their spiritual goals and seeing them grow closer to God. In his spare time, Noel enjoys playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments and wouldn’t say no to a good game of golf. Noel and his wife, Melanie, have three children and are excited to be raising them in rural Alberta.
Jazzercise on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7- 8 p.m. at the Delia School Gym. Tuesday and Thursdays at 9 a.m. at the Community Centre. Extra classes Fridays, June 10 and 17 at the Masonic Hall. Starting June 22 evening classes will be in the Masonic Hall until the end of June. The Delia Library will be closed on June 30 and July 1, 2016. Join Lindsay and Mrs. Hunter to create an unique wishing web craft in the Makerspace on June 21 from 12:10 to 12:38 p.m. On June 16, join Mrs. Hunter at lunch time to create a Father’s Day card in the library Makerspace.
