Rumsey 4-H year ends on a high note
Wow! This year flew by! Our 4H year is over already. We had our Mock Achievment day on April 17 at the Rumsey rodeo grounds. Our calves all behaved and it was a sunny day. Thank you to Garret Holowath for doing a clipping demonstration and Alec Jensen and Dave Sengaus for showing us how to judge and show our calves.
The next big event was our show and sale at the Delia arena. Here are the results for the juniors: 1st. place steer at club level was Cadynce Richmond, 2nd. was Blake Stoneman. 1st in grooming was Ryley Mappin and 2nd was Blake Stoneman, 1st. in showmanship was Ryley Mappin and 2nd was Brady Mappin. Ryley placed 1st for Grooming at District Level and placed 2nd for Junior Judging at District Level. For Intermediates: Amanda Holowath’s steer placed 1st at club level and won Re- serve District Champion Steer. Amanda also won 2nd in showmanship at club level and 2nd at District Level. 2nd. place steer was Corbyn Stoneman, Corbyn also won 1st in showmanship and grooming at club level. He placed 2nd in Grooming at District Level. Zoe Avramenko placed 2nd in grooming at club level. For Seniors: Brett Holowath’s steer placed 1st at club level and won 1st in Showmanship and Grooming. Vanessa Richmond’s Steer placed 2nd at club level. She also placed 2nd in Grooming and Showmanship at club level. Blake Stoneman won Grand Champion Female at club level and was Reserve Grand Champion at District Level. Corbyn Stoneman placed 2nd with his heifer at club level. Our club did awsome this year!
