Street Im­prove­ment Pro­gram un­der­way as con­struc­tion crews work through­out Drumheller.

Drumheller res­i­dents can ex­pect some de­lays this sum­mer sea­son as The Town of Drumheller has ap­proved the 2016 Road Im­prove­ment Pro­gram.

The en­gi­neer­ing es­ti­mate for this pro­gram has been ap­proved for $959,600.00.

The work has al­ready be­gun around the val­ley and has an ap­prox­i­mate com­ple­tion date of Oc­to­ber 15, 2016.

The ar­eas that will be af­fected in­clude Town Cen­tre, River­side Drive east of 5th Street East to west of 9th Street East, 7th Av­enue (North Rail­way Av­enue) from west side 7th Street East to 6th Av­enue East. 2nd Street SW - from High­way 575 (South Rail­way Av­enue) to 5th Av­enue South­west, 2nd Street SE - from South side 10th Av­enue to South of Hunts Drive.

These ar­eas are un­der the Sched­ule “A” por­tion of the pro­gram.

The sched­ule “B” por­tion will in­clude Jewell Street and High­way 10X (Ex­cel­sior Av­enue) in Wayne.
