The Drumheller Mail - - FRONT PAGE - O.R. Sheddy Mail Editor

The copy of The Drumheller Mail you have in your hands could be the last one delivered by Canada Post until the current postal situation is resolved. As of this writing, Canada Post has issued a 72-hour lockout notice to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and normal service could end this Friday. But not us. We will continue to produce, publish and deliver your news until the disruption has been settled – and after. We, through the kind co-operation of many partners, will deliver the printed Drumheller Mail through the many outlets that have agreed to put a paper stand in their premises. Complete details on where you can pick up The Drumheller Mail are contained in this issue. The printed Friday inSide Drumheller will be available at the many stands and pickup locations throughout the area, with no delivery to postal boxes. Pick your copy up and take one to your neighbour.

Readers can always call our office if there are any questions, or can pick up their copy of either paper here, as well.

Don’t forget, we will be inserting normal flyers we carry plus a few more that your favorite stores have entrusted us to deliver for them. These disruptions can be difficult, but regardless we have an obligation to deliver news, information and advertising to the citizens, and we take it seriously. Please be aware that these businesses need your support and take the time to patronize them as normal. They and their staffs are your friends and neighbours.

And please remember to be kind and supportive to staff and contract workers at Canada Post. They don’t want a disruption in the postal service any more than you do, and they too, are your friends and neighbours.

Best of all, keep up on the news by going to drumheller where we offer you the best in online news coverage, better than anything else available. You trust us to provide local and regional news and during these disruptions we'll continue to deliver the same quality news, 24/7.

And last but not least, if you really want to see the kind of service we can deliver, call our office at 403-823-2580, and this writer will deliver your newspapers personally. He is Drumheller’s oldest continually serving paperboy, and besides, he enjoys it.
