The Drumheller Mail - - NEWS - Kyle Smylie

The Drumheller Heritage, Arts, and Culture Steering Committee is inviting local artists to apply for a new grant to help fund their work or events.

The newly established Arts and Culture Fund will allow artists to apply for up to $1,000.

“The committee is keen to get funds into the community, which we hope will create more opportunities to enjoy arts and culture,” said town manager of recreation, arts, and culture Darren Goldthorpe.

Currently the fund stands at $5,000 total. If there are individuals who would like to donate money to the fund to increase its coffers, the town is able to offer donation receipts for amounts over $20.

The application form is available from Judy Quintin-Arvidson at j.arvidson@dinosaurvalley.com. The deadline to apply is August 15 at 5 p.m.

The Heritage, Arts, and Culture Steering Committee is made up of elected officials, members of the town administration team, and volunteers from the public.
