There isn’t much news this week except to comment as usual about the weather and wonder how the farmers are getting the spraying done with the fields being so soft.
The community extends congratulations to Taylor Meuller and Wes Kashuba who were married July 9 on a hill overlooking Rosebud and the reception and dance in Rosebud as well. Some of the Orkney folk attended the dance. The newlyweds will continue to live in Morrin.
This past week I had granddaughter Roberta Keichinger from Lethbridge stop in on Tuesday night, spent Wednesday with me and on to Edmonton on Thursday morning. She is on holiday right now and then back to work until the first week in August for another week to call her own. I always enjoy it when the younger ones come.

As I’m writing this column at 2:30 Monday afternoon there is another downpour of rain. It would be nice if it took a few days off!
