And here we are, al­ready near­ing the end of July...it is go­ing by too fast! I al­ways en­joy watch­ing the Cal­gary Stam­pede cov­er­age and when it is all done, I think...oh, dear, next comes Au­gust. Hope you are all hav­ing a great sum­mer... I so en­joyed the warm sun­shine this past week...so nice.

And, not too much news to an­nounce this week...I did at­tend the Mor­rin Vil­lage coun­cil meet­ing this month and picked up a bit of news for you all. Pretty rou­tine once again...the work should be­gin soon on an out­dated sec­tion of the wa­ter/sewer lines as the bid­ding time has ended. Our pub­lic works fore­man David Benci is work­ing away with the help of sum­mer stu­dent An­thony Hux­ley, to re­pair vil­lage equip­ment and keep up with main­te­nance. As far as re­cy­cling goes, we are mem­bers (along with sev­eral other com­mu­ni­ties and coun­ties) with the Drumheller and Dis­trict Solid Waste Man­age­ment As­so­ci­a­tion who pro­vide the me­tal re­cy­cling bins we have down­town...one to re­ceive paper/newsprint and one to re­ceive flat­tened card­board. And a re­minder to please take a mo­ment to squish boxes down be­fore in­sert­ing the card­board into the bin...this is much ap­pre­ci­ated.

And, dur­ing the meet­ing, we also heard briefly from Al­li­son Fother­ing­ton, who has en­thu­si­as­ti­cally taken on the chal­leng­ing job of se­cur­ing stray an­i­mals in our area and then at­tempts to
