Ever wondered if living in space is just like life on Earth? Find out at the Rockyford Library on Thursday, July 27, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., via videoconference. See how astronauts go to the bathroom in space, where they sleep, how they eat, and experience how astronauts adapt to their new home with interactive demonstrations. It doesn’t get any closer to home than this. Suitable for ages 8-13.
Free and ice cream go so well together, so the Rocky- ford Library is hosting Ice Cream in the Park on Tuesday, August 2, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Rockyford Park (behind the Community Centre). Bring a blanket or chair, and children should bring their favourite stuffed animal. Join in for stories, songs, crafts, games, and yummy ice cream! The event will be held in the Rockyford Library if it rains.
The TD Summer Reading Club continues with crafts, games, and stories on Wednesday, August 3, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m, at the Rockyford Library. Suitable for ages 6-12.
