Look­ing for some­thing free to do with the kids? Then join the Rock­y­ford Li­brary on Wed­nes­day, July 27 at 3 p.m. for the fam­ily movie, Oliver & Com­pany! Free to at­tend and free pop­corn. Take in an­other free movie with The Notebook at 6 p.m. (PG-13).

Ever won­dered if liv­ing in space is just like life on Earth? Find out at the Rock­y­ford Li­brary on Thurs­day, July 27, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., via video­con­fer­ence. See how as­tro­nauts go to the bath­room in space, where they sleep, how they eat, and ex­pe­ri­ence how as­tro­nauts adapt to their new home with in­ter­ac­tive demon­stra­tions. It doesn’t get any closer to home than this. Suit­able for ages 8-13.

Free and ice cream go so well to­gether, so the Rocky- ford Li­brary is host­ing Ice Cream in the Park on Tues­day, Au­gust 2, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Rock­y­ford Park (be­hind the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre). Bring a blan­ket or chair, and chil­dren should bring their favourite stuffed an­i­mal. Join in for sto­ries, songs, crafts, games, and yummy ice cream! The event will be held in the Rock­y­ford Li­brary if it rains.

The TD Sum­mer Read­ing Club con­tin­ues with crafts, games, and sto­ries on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 3, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m, at the Rock­y­ford Li­brary. Suit­able for ages 6-12.

Kids, un­leash your in­ner in­ven­tor with lit­tleBits! lit­tleBits makes a plat­form of easy-to-use elec­tronic build­ing blocks em­pow­er­ing ev­ery­one to cre­ate in­ven­tions, large and small.
