Dragons hockey camp ap­proaches

The Drumheller Dragons Hockey School is just around the cor­ner and val­ley play­ers will have a chance to learn from some of the top tal­ent avail­able in Drumheller, as well as get in­struc­tion from some dis­tin­guished in­struc­tors.

The camp runs Au­gust 15 to 19 and is geared to­ward youth aged 6 to 14. In­struc­tors in­clude Dragons head coach Brian Cur­ran, ac­claimed power skat­ing coach Ash­ley Gran­tham, goal­tend­ing in­struc­tor and Dragons goalie con­sul­tant Derek Pur­field, former 2010 Carolina Hur­ri­canes draft pick Tyler Stahl, and cur­rent Dragons play­ers aged 17 to 20.

It will fea­ture two on-ice ses­sions per day, out­door ac­tiv­i­ties like swim­ming, soc­cer, base­ball, ul­ti­mate Fris­bee, and in­door ac­tiv­i­ties at the Bad­lands Com­mu­nity Fa­cil­ity. The day camp will run from roughly 8 am to 5 pm ev­ery day.
