Drumheller man is killed in single vehicle rollover near Clive, Alberta early Friday morning
Charges have been laid against the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident which killed a 23-year-old Drumheller man near Clive, Alberta, early Friday morning.
At 12:34 a.m. on July 29, Blackfalds RCMP responded to a “serious” motor vehicle rollover in the small town of Clive, east of Lacombe.
Three male occupants were in a Chrysler Intrepid when it went off road, and rolled. A 23-year-old passenger from the Drumheller area was declared deceased on scene.
The male driver and second passenger were treated on scene for minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. A collision analyst was on scene.
Blackfalds RCMP have laid charges against Jacob Stahl, 25, of Bashaw, including operating a motor vehicle while impaired causing death, operating a motorvehicle while intoxicated causing death, operating a vehicle in a dangerous manner causing death.
Stahl was released with several conditions, RCMP say. His first appearance in Red Deer provincial court is scheduled for August 24.
