The mosquitos are still hungry and furious. It makes it tough to do any gardening and it is that time of year when everything seems to be ready. Beets, carrots and beans are ready for pickling, if you can just keep the bugs away long enough to get them picked.
This past Saturday, August 6, the Munson 300 Raffle Draw lucky winner was Karen McMillan of the Dalum area. Congratulations Karen and thank you for supporting the new hall project.
Sunday, August 7 was the 27th Annual Ride for STARS at the TL Bar Ranch presented by the Rumsey Agricultural Society. I haven’t got many details but I did hear that they raised approximately $40,000.
That is amazing. Congratulations to everyone involved. It’s a lot of work and we so appreciate all that you do to help keep STARS in the sky.
It was a busy weekend with all that was happening around the community. We enjoyed the Blue Rodeo concert held at the Passion Play site on Saturday night and are looking forward to the Paul Brandt concert coming up on August 21.
