As members of the Pioneer Trail Centre are all seniors, we are usually, at this time of year, catching up with children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren or trying to keep the yard tidy so it’s no wonder we are not seeing as many as usual at the centre.

Most of the activities will be starting again in September as well as some events for the over 55Alberta Games. A programme of events will be displayed at the centre or at the Badlands Community Facility.

There is still cards every afternoon and Bingo on Wednesday’s. Coffee pot is always ready for those who just want to call in for a visit and perhaps take a look around at the ‘for sale’ items, lots of clothes (all sizes), household items and of course the handmade quilts. We also have a good selection of books and puzzles.

We have some lovely trips for the future organized by the Travel Club, Rosebud Theatre, Calgary Philharmonic, Stage West and a Casino and shopping trip, details can be found at the Pioneer Trail. Further details or comments email annettemgreen@
