It’s hard to believe everything is so green and the grass is demanding to be cut so often and here it is the middle of August. The crops are turning so I image we will be seeing some combines moving in the very near future.
This past Saturday, August 6, the Munson 300 Raffle Draw lucky winner was Dana Jacques of Leduc. Just in case anyone is wondering if there is a connection, she is Don and Sherry Bitz’s daughter. Congratulations Dana and thank you for supporting the new hall project.
I didn’t get a chance to attend the Verdant Valley Ag Society Draft Horse Competition on August 13 but by the photographs I saw on social media it looked like a very good event. Thank you to the Verdant Valley Ag Society for sponsoring this event.
I’m not sure all that was happening in the area over the weekend but the traffic felt like mid-July. We still seem to be in the thick of tourist season. Please drive careful and be kind to our visitors. Calendar Reminders: This Sunday, August 21 is the Paul Brandt concert at the Passion Play site. It promises to be a great show and there are still tickets available.
The Dinosaur Valley Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will be on September 11. To register go to the website www.dinosaurvalleyhalf.com.
Have a good week and enjoy this wonderful weather.
