Only a few more weeks un­til school starts again - news that will fill any teacher’s heart with joy and glad­ness, stu­dents too, of course. Seems sad that sum­mer flew by so quickly but it will be nice to get back to our nor­mal rou­tines again. Be­fore you know it, the Delia Fall Fair will be on the hori­zon! Not too soon to start think­ing about your en­tries for the Fair!

Come to the Drop In Cen- tre on Thurs­day, Au­gust 18, at noon for a pot luck lunch. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to join us for lunch and visit­ing, maybe even a good game of cards af­ter lunch. Cof­fee is served ev­ery Tues­day and Thurs­day morn­ing at the Drop In Cen­tre, cards are played on Fri­day af­ter­noons, vis­i­tors are al­ways most wel­come, so drop in for cof­fee and have a visit with the mem­bers.

Get well wishes go to Lisa Skan­ning, who is re­cu­per­at­ing at home af­ter be­ing re­leased from hospi­tal ear­lier this week. Lisa still has many weeks of ther­apy and treat­ment ahead of her how­ever.

Minecraft Camp takes place at the li­brary Au­gust 24 –26 from 1 to 4 pm. Kids aged 8 and up are in­vited to come join in ac­tiv­i­ties with Minecraft. The camp will end with a big tour­na­ment chal­leng­ing kids in Hanna and lots of prizes to win. Tons of fun!!

Happy An­niver­sary to Peggy and Lloyd An­der­son on the 15th, Kent Fried­ley has a birth­day on the 20th, Lil Mor­ri­son and Freda Bre­witt share a birth­day on the 22nd. Cel­e­brate wisely and well.

Par­ents who are afraid to put their foot down may have chil­dren who step on their toes.
