Looks like we are in for a spell of nice weather so get out there and enjoy it. It’s back to school on August 31, strange it feels like July 1 was only 5 minutes ago!
The Saturday, August 27 Munson 300 Raffle Draw lucky winner was Amy Yavis. Congratulations Amy and thank you for buying a ticket. I think Steve Wannstrom has had several lucky winners from the tickets he sold.
Congratulations to Andrea Daly and Andrew Inglis who were married this past weekend. It was a lovely wedding and a nice chance to visit with family and friends as many of the Daly and Thompson families were in attendance. Andrea and Andrew had some of their photographs taken in front of the old Munson United Church. What a great idea and the photos look lovely.
Condolences from the community to Mary and Don Jackson and the Raisbeck family on the passing of Connie last week. Connie and I went to school together for many years and I will always remember her contagious laugh. A celebration of life was held on August 30 at the Morrin Community Hall.
The crops are looking great although I think it could be a little “wet” in some fields be careful not to get stuck. Remember safety first. An injury could hold up harvest for a lot longer than a few minutes of care and attention.
The Dinosaur Valley Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will be held on September 11. Registra- tion is looking good with numbers up over 350 for the three races. There is still time to join this great event, check out the website at: www.dinosaurvalleyhalf.com. McDonalds offered a promotion on Monday to pay for the first 50 5K registrations that day if you register with the promo code “MCRUN”. Thank you to the folks at McDonald’s.
Have a great week.
