Attention writers! Rockyford Library presents Improve Your Memoir & Fiction Writing. This workshop will run every second Saturday from 10 until noon, beginning Septem- ber 17. Sessions are: September 17 - Characters; October 1 - Setting, Language; October 15: Plotting, Pacing, and Planning; October 29: Tying it Together -- The Elements of Your Story. Anyone aged 12+ is invited to register at the library. Christa Bedwin, the instructor, has two decades of experience in writing, editing, publishing and teaching. Fall is here, and Rockyford Library’s clubs/groups are back. Moms ‘N’ Tots Drop-In returns Tuesday, September 6, from 10:00 until 11:30. Parent Link will be presenting Play & Learn, beginning September 20, for six weeks. To accommodate their schedule, Moms ‘N’ Tots’ time will shift to 9:45 to 11:15 for those weeks.
Thursday, September 8, at 6:30, the Rockyford Library’s Photography Group returns. This is a small but friendly group that meets (except during July and August) at the library. Members share and discuss photographs that they have taken, often of a previously selected topic, and watch an instructional video. There is no charge and no obligation to share your images. If you wish to bring pictures to share, please bring them on a USB stick and come early if possible.
UFOs are back on Tuesday afternoons, from 1:00 until 3:00, beginning September 13. If you have a passion for a hobby or craft (knitting/scrapbooking/colouring....) that is portable, why not join us?
