This week our congratulations go to Dorothy Bergos with the presentation of the very prestigious award from the Drumheller Institution for 35 years of service on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee. That was a long time!
I expect most of you were away over the long weekend or had company. I had granddaughter Roberta Keichinger from Lethbridge visit from Saturday to Mon- day morning and had son Rick from Bieseker come and have lunch on Monday. With the fog we had last week we will be having rain again (still?) in 90 days. That old adage is quite often true but I hope it is wrong this year.
Trying to do the news this week was a bit of a problem as my typewriter seems to be getting tired and not wanting to act properly. If someone out there has become computerized and has a typewriter at a reasonable price give me a call.
Church services at Orkney Presbyterian will start again Sunday, September 18 at 10 am with coffee to follow as usual at the centre with everyone welcome.
Here’s something to think about this week... the late Erma Bombeck once said that “worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere.”
Have a good week
