We started off last week with the Birthday Party for the September and October Birthdays and there were 25 people celebrating. After singing Happy Birthday we were entertained by a fiddler playing some merry tunes and Larry doing a very fancy twostep. The raffle was won by Bernice Chalmers who was actually one of the birthday girls.
Thursday was the first meeting of the Autumn for the Choir and although it was a good turnout a few more members would be welcome. Thursday evening a group went to the Rosebud Theatre to see An Inspector Calls, it was excellent, if anyone gets a chance to go, it is well worth a visit. Saturday was my birthday and we celebrated at the centre with cake and coffee, I would like to say a big thank you to all who came and for the beautiful cards. Many of the cards were hand-made which made them extra special. A special thanks to Barb for the flowers out of her garden which were used to decorate all the tables.
This next week looks as though it will be less busy but there will still be crib, canasta, bingo and bridge. On Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. there is going to be a travel show at the Library by Betty Manning and Bonnie Bellrose showing slides of their visit to Scotland, Wednesday September, 21 the Drumheller Travel Club are going to Stage West.
